Clear your kiddos’ schedules this summer for the Klondike Summer Leadership Camp! Starting May 28, Klondike Academy has an amazing 12-week summer program prepped and ready to go when this school season ends. There will be swim lessons, field trips, science experiments, art projects, and so much more!

The Klondike Summer Leadership Camp will take several different elements from our Klondike Leadership Academy (KLA) program. KLA is focused on creating a legacy of leaders within our community and within the world. Its goal is to teach children within our program what it means to be a leader, and how they can be one. Being a leader is being a good role model. Leaders are people that others want to follow and be like. So, if your child wants to be a leader they must first be aware of how they can be a good role model to their peers. They must know how to inspire the goodness and greatness in others while being aware of it all within themselves.

Each week will focus on different aspects of leadership in the KLA program!

Week 1 – Yes I Can!

A personal development week dedicated to instilling a positive YES I CAN attitude!

Week 2 – Storybook Week

Kids will go through the process of learning how to create a storybook and will make their very own. They will also learn about visual storytelling with a field trip to the movies!

Weeks 3 & 4 – Career Exploration

What does your child want to be when they grow up? We’ll find out and provide various activities designed to engage them in the various occupations they choose. We will participate in tours, listen to speakers, and talk to individuals in various different fields of work.

Week 5 – Love My Community

Each child will participate in activities and projects designed to give back to the community and foster pride in helping and giving to others.

Week 6 – Together is Better

Working together, kids will engage in various group activities, games, and challenges that will encourage teamwork and will conclude with a trip to the bowling alley.

Week 7 – Earning & Saving

We will take a trip to a berry farm and learn early financial skills! Kids will run a store, earn Klondike bucks for various tasks, and learn about money in our banking lab!

Week 8 – Using Your Voice

Children will learn to speak with purpose through debates, acting, a mock election, and public speaking activities.

Week 9 – Minding Manners

Table setting, manners, and a picnic are on the agenda for this fun-filled week of learning etiquette.
