A Child Care Center Focused on Education and Enrichment

At Klondike Academy, your child won’t be put in front of a television with ample amounts of snacks and entertainment to waste the day away. Our teachers have created a structured and fun learning environment to keep children engaged and active throughout their academic day.

Classroom-style Teaching

We’ve chosen a curriculum that engages a child’s creative nature while they conduct hands-on, project-based investigations into the world around them. Teachers will help build your child’s confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills. We promote positive outcomes.

Your child will learn from ten core components of our program: Social-Emotional, Physical, Language, Cognitive, Literacy, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, The Arts, and English Language Acquisition.

Leadership Training

Built into our Academy is a reward-based program focused on developing a child’s leadership skills with nine skill sets and a series of tasks.

Extended Hours

In a world of working parents, time can be a scarce resource. Rest easy with the knowledge that should you need additional time after work to shop for groceries, run an errand, or just relax with a coffee and a good book, we’ve covered your shift. We’re open from 6:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Spanish Language

We want your child to have all the tools for success in the world. Learning a second language is a great place to begin.

Kid Fitness

Our Academy is not only devoted to the intellectual education of your child, but also the physical. We provide kid-friendly equipment, periodic fitness classes, and just good old-fashioned fun for exercise.

Loving Environment

Your child will feel completely at ease coming to Klondike Academy. Our pledge is to provide a loving, nurturing, and safe environment for all children.

The Total Package

In addition to all of the above perks, we offer everything you would normally get from a modern daycare.

  • After-school care
  • Transportation from school to academy
  • Provide meals and snack for students 1 and up
  • Friendly, approachable, and competent staff
  • Outdoor & Indoor play areas

Making Homework FUN

So, unless you’re raising a mini Doogie Howser, I’ve compiled a few simple learning activities to spur your child’s interest in the wild world of homework.

A Safe Place to Haunt

Every year, I struggle to find something safe and fun for my daughter to do on Halloween. Often, she wants to go trick-or-treating, but that can dangerous. There’s always the option of going to trunk-or-treats hosted by local churches, but they’re usually overcrowded and filled with members of that church, leaving anyone else feeling a little out of place. Or, they’re held several days before Halloween, leaving kids still wanting to go out trick or treating when the day rolls around.
